A post that could make me look foolish

I think it's faaaaairly safe to say that there's a high probability that the next president will be a former senator. Will that be enough to give the lie to the notion that senators are inherently ill trained for presidential election politics?

Not if s/he wins by beating other Senators.

In other years, would Romney and Richardson seem to be particularly strong candidates? Not so much.

I actually think that Richardson would be quite a bit stronger, if he weren't up against all these popular senators.
