AP:
Hillary Rodham Clinton said Saturday that if she is elected president, she would make her husband a roaming ambassador to the world, using his skills to repair the nation's tattered image abroad.
"I can't think of a better cheerleader for America than Bill Clinton can you?" the Democratic senator from New York asked a crowd jammed into a junior high school gymnasium. "He has said he would do anything I asked him to do. I would put him to work."
Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure people will criticize this. It's election season, and there's a way to spin everything in a negative light. But I can't honestly say I would understand the logic no matter who was lobbing the attacks. Personally, I think this is one of the few intriguing thing about a potential Hillary candidacy.
On the other hand, even if you don't like Bill Clinton, is there anything wrong with using the popularity of somebody who will no doubt be very much involved in your presidency as a means of improve your chances of winning?
The question is, is Hillary Clinton the only potential president for whom Bill Clinton would agree to perform the duties of good-will ambassador. My guess is he'd do it for just about anybody. And, yes, her foreign policy remains suspect.

Well, Bill C is well-liked in very many places, and our image is kinda trashed, so he would do some good.
The question is whether it helps Hillary in the primary or general campaigns or not. In the primary - no so much. In the general, probably some good - it gets him out of town LOL.
I think one (but only one) of the reasons that the wingnuts hate Hillary so much is their secret fear that Bill will be a co-president. Their hated of Bill as Pres. has no end - and no real reason for existing either except he beat the Repubs so often not only in elections, but in polls, battles with Congress, etc. And of course, they never really got anything to stick to him (except the BJ) legally or politically, so he's some kind of comic hero that overcame wingnut mojo.
I wonder if part of the conservative psyche is LONGING for a Hillary presidency so that they can have four or eight more years to figure out what the Clintons' Kryptonite is and do the duo in forever.
