Jonah Goldberg issues a call to unity to liberals:
I think everyone, on both the left and the right, can unite in common cause to say that this is among the dumber pieces of media analysis offered so far this year....In a piece about the feud between Rosie O'Donnell and Elisabeth Hasselback on "The View" ABC News informs us that:
"In every war, there's conflict between hawks and doves. O'Donnell and Hasselbeck's fight harkens back to a Vietnam-era exchange between liberal Gore Vidal and conservative William Buckley."
I reject this call to unity. Not on the grounds that I particularly support ABC News for weighing in on the celebrity spat, but because I disagree with Jonah's judgement. This piece of media analysis may be the most frivolous offered so far this year, but it's far from the dumbest. The dumbest tend to come from this website.
