Obama and liquid coal

Brad Plumer reaffirms my impression that, no matter how hard he tries or how much he'd like to find it, there's just no middle ground between king coal and environmentalists. Including (and perhaps especially) vis-a-vis CTL technologies. He's simply going to have to commit.

No, he doesn't. Suppose Obama knows he's not going to beat Hillary (and there are certainly grounds for that belief). He'd then have to worry about support in Illinois for his re-election as US Senator.

So, a stradle makes good sense. No one really is watching (in the global electorate sense).

And you can't make him! [laughing].
