The acceptance speech

Washington Monthly has allowed the famous Kennedy wordsmith Ted Sorenson to pen the speech he'd like to hear the winner of the Democratic nomination give at the convention next summer. Read it. I guess I'd say it's only flaw is that it's hampered in new vision by the fact that there are so many awful things happening now that the next president will have to undo. But what I find interesting is that, and this is surely peculiar to Sorenson's language, the only candidate I can imagine speaking his words is Barack Obama. Read a few lines and then close your eyes. See if you agree.
