Irresponsibility

Via Sam once again, "Fox News apparently thinks that Katie Couric's trip to Iraq is completely irresponsible because she has kids." I suppose that Fox News and its guests also believe that Fox News' erstwhile anchor Geraldo Rivera is a despicable monster for entering war zone after war zone as a correspondent, despite being the father of many young children. I also suppose it thinks that politicians with children who enter war zones for the friendly media attention they receive as a result are equally irresponsible creatures. Anti-American, even. And, for that matter, this standard must apply doubly to pro-war politicians who send parents into combat zones in Iraq knowing how extreme the potential costs to their children actually are.
