Would Republicans be so quick to throw Larry Craig under the bus if the governor of Idaho was a Democrat?

Whatever the answer, I think it's worth pointing out that when a gay Republican senator is arrested for being gay in public, it's as easy to find liberals who support him as it is to find conservatives (even Republicans in elected offices) who'd like to see him discarded.
