Almost daily Corner bashing

A few things:

  • Rudy Giuliani's efforts to reach out to voters--however crudely--by putting an ad in the newspaper of record are, to the right, an apostasy on the same order of his support for gays, immigrants, and abortion choice. Really.
  • The National Review is now the arbiter of journalistic integrity:
It's hard to get things right, and we will all make mistakes from time to time. But what worries me most is that the editors of most publications seem to have abdicated responsibility. The New Republic editors seem to specialize in this practice, but it's certainly not limited to them.
  • Somewhat redemptively, Victor Davis Hanson comes out in support of a liberal law professor fired for being a liberal law professor.

That is all.
