Petraeus: F.U. Congress!

I guess everybody knows by now that David Petraeus is expected to recommend that we change basically nothing about the current plan. Joe Biden--who will chair one of the four Petraeus hearings on the Hill this week--is rightly skeptical. At any rate, can we now finally stop referring to this kabuki nonsense report as "The Petraeus Report"? It's wholly the work of people in the White House whose names are not David Petraeus. Back when I was in school, if you claimed as your own ideas and writing that belonged to somebody else, it was called plagiarism. So why does it continue to benefit from his imprimatur? Calling this "The Petraeus Report" reflects reality no more than if I'd written a senior honors thesis about cosmology and called it "The Einstein Report".
