Pulling out

In honor of being at the U.N. and finding it to be a perfectly non-corrupt, pleasant place (with cheap food, free wifi, and still-legal--though discouraged--indoor smoking) I'd like to suggest that if the Republican pollsters are saying--with all of the challenges facing the country and the world, and all of the issues that have animated American voters in the last six years--that they can win elections on a withdraw-from-the-U.N. platform, they've all but admitted defeat.
