Leahy and Specter tried to restore habeas protections for enemy combatants and their effort was unsurprisingly filibustered.

The roll call was 56-43. Lending support to the filibuster was, of course, Joe Lieberman. Voting for restoration were Republicans Sununu, Specter, Smith, Lugar, and Hagel
