Stunning. The sheer volume of idiocy very serious, thoughtful, arguments that have never been made in such detail or with such care posted at The Corner today is impressive even for a site known for regularly posting very serious, thoughtful arguments that have never been made in such detail or wish such care.
Here, bravely unaware that The New Republic has an audience with liberals and is for that reason the right's strongest ally in the war to keep us at war, Jonah boosts the very people trying to annihilate them.
Here, Jonah realizes very late that he's badly missed the point of something obvious.
Here, after a career born of sheer glee about Democrats' inability to fight back successfully, Jonah applauds Republicans for "fighting like Democrats" in their successful bid to steal the presidency in 2000.
And here, Jonah forgets for a moment the fact that people don't take being bombed lightly and that Iran is right next to Iraq when suggesting that, as long as we don't try to occupy them, a bombing campaign against that country would be "like the strikes launched by the Clinton administration against Saddam in the 1990s."
Welcome back, Jonah. And tip your hat. Ya done well.

Is there a cliff notes version of this feud that the wingnutosphere is having with TNR? I mean, I suppose I could go read Malkin or something, but my eyes always start bleeding when I try.
This is as good as any.
