Jamie Kirchick denounces Kay Steiger for not condemning Che Guevara with the same overheated language he might have used if he'd written basically the same article for Commentary or perhaps The Weekly Standard.
Meanwhile, he seems not to have noticed that the flawed hyper-idealism that endears Guevara to some young leftists is the same feature--supposedly, though not actually the guiding feature of America's current foreign policy regime--that endears people like Jamie Kirchick to a whole generation of hawkish, interventionist thinkers.

"The mission of Campus Progress... is βto see that the next generation of progressive leaders is better trained, better informed, more diverse, and more united than any generation before.β Hard to believe Kay S. is able to serve this purpose. Her postings are shallow and often uninformed.
"Steiger writes that '[Guevara] was a man of principles, to a fault.'β Hogwash. Although of course he had strong principles, he was first and foremost a pragmatist. Tell Kay to read his writings. Or at least his bio.
Brian, link to something worthwhile; a pissing contest between imbeciles has comic relief value at best. Or maybe you can make it a new feature like Almost Daily Corner Bashing. PCBI. Yeah.
PCBI... hmmmm...
If I start posting a feature like that regularly, all credit will go to you.
