Awareness week
Today's the last day of Islamofascism awareness week, so I figured we should all come together and take a closer look at the term itself: Islamofascism. Islam-o-fascism. Islam-with-fascism.
Who knew inventing things that don't exist could be so easy*?

Born into the culture of irony, I find this all fairly hilarious, but some people (obviously) take the term Islamofascism extremely seriously, even as it has as little true explanatory power or basis in real world things as does an Islamotomato or a swirling Islamotornado.
*=Note, the inspiration for this post came from an article I read about five years ago in the Heuristic Squelch, Berkeley's very worthy humor publication. I'm providing a link mainly to cover my ass, but note it is extremely not safe for work, and also, to some, probably a bit misogynistic.

Concerned people want to know: When will islamofascism and xtain-evangelico-fascism link up and give us global-religio-fascism (which is related to global warming, undoubtedly)?
There's even room in the global-religio fascism hookup for some Hindu-fascism, if folks could just get along.
As Julian Sanchez pointed out in a recent post:
"'Islamofascist' sounds like a 50's B-movie heavy, or something a gang of eight year olds would come up with for their game of pretend war."

Islamofascism (or Islamism) is the main threat facing modern civilization and ignorance about this threat is astounding. We hope that this event becomes regular and reaches every campus.
A great many Westerners do not see the clear distinction between Islam and Islamism (Islamofascism). They need to understand that the difference between Islam and Islamism (Islamofascism) is the same as the difference between Christianity and Christian Identity Movement (White Supremacy Movement).
