Caption contest!

Don't laugh too hard, Mahmoud! I may have a wider stance than you, but there are no gays in Russia, either.

The kids over at The Plank are holding a caption contest for the above photo, and since I'm too busy to do much serious blogging today, I'll submit my entry in the form of a post.

Now, since we're talking about the official blog of Marty Peretz's magazine The New Republic I wouldn't be shocked to find that the winning entry is something humorless like, "We're too ruthlessly serious to smile along, you vile tyrants you!" But I've given it a shot.*

*=As you can see, I'm terrible at these. It is my suspicion that the New Yorker caption contest winners have among the highest IQs in the country.
