It's not a huge surprise to me that a significant and rapidly growing majority of Americans think that being disrespected in the world is a major problem. Distressing, though, that if I had been basing my impressions of public opinion on the division of voices on this issue in the public sphere, I probably would have concluded quite the opposite.

What is perhaps more interesting is that the report also indicated that young adults are becoming "the new isolationists." Something in that - for the future, at least?
