Who likes to torture?!

When I read this about Michael Mukasey from Dianne Feinstein-- “This man has been a judge for 18 years,” said Ms. Feinstein, who along with Mr. Schumer provided the key supporting votes to push Mr. Mukasey through the Judiciary Committee. “Maybe he likes to consider the facts before he makes a decision.”--my insta-reaction was to write something snarky about how she's the last person in the free world to think that one should do some serious soul-searching before answering the question "is waterboarding torture?" But then I remembered that there's a division on the American right about just this question, and the answers are split between those hoping to manufacture legal cover for the president they refuse abandon and those who agree that it's torture, but are damn proud we do it.

Feinstein probably falls into a different category, but these are her allies.
