On CIA recordings

This, from the same New York Times article I referenced below, seems extremely important:

The C.I.A. has said that the two interrogations shown in the videotapes occurred in 2002, and that the taping of interrogations stopped that year. On Monday, however, a lawyer representing a former prisoner who said he was held by the C.I.A. said the prisoner saw cameras in interrogation rooms after 2002.

Now that doesn't necessarily mean that the cameras were recording anything, and if they were recording anything, it doesn't necessarily mean that they captured torture footage. But there may be more tapes out there, or they too may have been destroyed in the past week, and any investigation into this cover up really ought to investigate this.
