Today, Jonah Goldberg's worthless screed Liberal Fascism gets friendly treatment in the liberal New York Times. David Oshinsky, who wrote the review, apparently found it "deliciously amusing". And I suppose I can imagine a piece of writing titled Liberal Fascism that was intentionally--read: not accidently--amusing. A satirical article, maybe, or a cartoon. But that's not what Jonah was trying to do. Instead, Jonah was trying to write a 400 page Very Serious Thoughtful Argument that had never been made in such detail or with such care. And by all serious accounts, he did not succeed.
But of course, this is the liberal New York Times, famous for advancing the careers and ideas of good liberals like Bill Kristol. And, as such, I suppose they can be forgiven for tipping their hat at the National Review.

He clearly deserves more serious treatment than Krugman.
Brian, reread the last four paragraphs. I don't conisder that to be friendly, but critical.
Also, the phrase deliciously amusing taken out of context means nothing. When used to describe a rant - which is the case here - it's hardly praise. Bob Dole once described Ford, Carter and Nixon in that order as "see no evil, hear no evil and evil."
I would describe that as "deliciously amusing", but it's not an embrace of Bob Dole.
