Now lying about the surge

Over the last five years, due to what seems to be a genetic inability to be correct about anything, Bill Kristol has watched his journalism career flourish. In the past six months, on the strength of being slightly less wrong about something (or rather, of being just wrong enough to be able to lie about it without torturing himself) he's landed himself the most prestigious job in the whole field. Now he's bringing that story to his new audience.Ladies and gentlemen: Why the surge is working, despite the Democrats' best efforts to make us lose the war.

bah! Why do the Goopers always get to frame the topic? "Le Surge" was a tactic to help achieve the strategic goal of "Le Reconciliation", and the Iraqi mind-meld hasn't happened (and likely won't). But since the frame was surge = reduced violence, Kristol can crow about how well the surge worked without much pushback.

Surely torturing the truth is worthy of being a Geneva Convention article, right?

Or it is that 'Le Truth" is so maleable that it actually likes being waterboarded?
