Seems like fraud caucuser Tom Davis will not seek re-election to his seat in the Virginia delegation. Some will no doubt remember Davis as the guy who tirelessly, to little effect, was allowed by party leadership to give voice to the disenfranchised in Washington D.C. But I'll remember him as the guy who sat atop one of the most powerful committees in the House--the one Waxman now chairs--and used it to investigate a series of non-scandals and non-controversies carefully chosen to harm Democrats and to distract Congress and the media from the White House's long list of crimes and unconstitutional shenanigans.
Fortunately, now it's possible that state Republicans will insist upon selecting some wingnut white racist or other to take up Davis' spot on the ballot, putting the 11th district in play as part of the ongoing blueification process in Virginia.
