Senate procedure

Spent all day watching the FISA debacle become more debacle-ous and I've come to the realization that a student of the Senate is somebody who learns more and more about less and less until he knows everything about nothing. It's extremely frustrating (and yet somehow fascinating) stuff. And yet, I have to imagine that even the great masters--the Reids and McConnells of the world--must occasionally wish this stuff was much less abstruse.
