Tautologies abound

David Broder: "The lesson of New Hampshire can be summarized in two simple words: Character counts."

Uh. Ok. Sure. The thesis is that winning requires determination, determination is a sign of great character, and therefore character counts. Likewise, the lesson of the night time is that Earth's rotation counts, the lesson of my morning coffee is that bean roasting counts, and the lesson of writing a column for the Washington Post is that thoughtful ideas typing on a keyboard counts. You can't argue with any of it.
