Endorsacle

Al Gore? Barack Obama? Endorsement? Steve Clemons heard from a friend of an uncle of a staffer of the Clinton campaign "a well-placed spouse of a Clinton campaign insider" that this might happen. Out now with the Machiavelli in all of us.

This of course helps prop up the Clinton campaign claim of being the "outsider" candidate. Which is still really silly, but it does seem to be their argument.

Well, there's some truth to Clinton being an 'outsider'. The DC establishment (media, lobbyists, think-tankers) has NEVER accepted either Clinton as being part of their 'village'.

But, insider/outsideer, who gives a s**t in this Obama/Clinton contest. It is totally besides the point.

I'm sick of the Clinton campaign(s) adopting Rovian tactics and media spin. In that sense, they are complete insiders.

It's not as if the village lurves Al Gore. His endorsement doesn't make someone an insider.

Think I'm going to the Obama rally tomorrow. I'll report on how insider-y it is.
