Clinton as SoS?

I don't claim to have a strong opinion on this, but it does seem to me that moving HIllary Clinton to Foggy Bottom will require Obama to spend an awful lot of time policing the conflicts of interest inherent in selecting the wife of the man who runs the Clinton Global Initiative to be the country's chief diplomat.

Update: That's not to say I don't think Bill Clinton wouldn't in some ways be a major asset to Hillary. But the potential for problems will always be there, sometimes those problems will be hard to identify, and the press will, rightly, spend a lot of time searching for them. Seems a bit complicated for the likes of No Drama Obama.

man oh man, do you have this one right. Bill C has said that he will disclose future contributors names, but no previous ones. Red meat for NRO, RedState, et.al. Blood will be flowing from day one.

Maybe Barak and Hillary could agree to some conditionality: Bill and Hillary get divorced, first. Separate houses, and no family outings together. Hillary becomes Hillary Rodham. Chelsea gets married first and changes her last name. Bill declares he's now an independent or Naderite. Let's see, have I left anything out?

No drama, indeed.
