Doing my part

Since progressives are supposed to be better than conservatives... well, rather generally... but specifically on the idea that elected leaders of all parties need to be held accountable, let me do my part by saying that Barack Obama has been alarmingly silent about the end game in Afghanistan. That's not necessarily peculiar--my friend Spencer Ackerman, much more knowledgeable about such things than I am, says "you will not find a single living human being who has ever articulated an endgame for Afghanistan."

Well...that, uh, seems like a major potential liability to me! Perhaps it's something that Obama ought to address publicly! Not just for transparency's sake (though that would be nice) but so that his plan to commit more troops to Afghanistan and his promise to capture or kill Osama bin Laden don't turn Afghanistan into his Vietnam.
