I'd meant to say yesterday that it'll be interesting to see who replaces Peter Orszag at the Congressional Budget Office. On that score, Brad DeLong likes Doug Elmendorf.

I was hearing that Orszag at CBO was good news for getting health care reform, because he's very worried about the costs of the current system and understands that a national system would help us get cost control. As far as health care is concerned, does he have more or less power to affect things at OMB?
